Niagara police have made an arrest following an attempted robbery in St. Catharines.
On Tuesday around 9:50 pm, police were called to the area of Church Street and Market Street where two victims were attempting to purchase an iPhone from a Facebook marketplace seller.
Upon meeting with the seller, the victims became weary and did not exit their vehicle.
The seller then attempted to rob the buyers.
They fled the area in their car and called 911.
Police located the suspect a short distance away and placed him under arrest.
19-year-old Andrei Abordo has been charged with 2 counts of robbery, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
