3 Arrested and Handgun Seized in Drug Trafficking Investigation

Three Niagara Falls residents are facing multiple charges following a drug trafficking investigation that began in St. Catharines and led police to a residence in Niagara Falls.

Niagara Regional Police say officers observed three individuals engaging in short, frequent visits with other people in the area of King Street in St. Catharines—activity investigators say was consistent with drug trafficking. The three suspects were arrested, and officers seized several illicit substances and cash at the scene.

Police report the following items were seized during the initial arrests:

  • 52.5 grams of suspected fentanyl, with an estimated street value of $10,500

  • 1.6 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, valued at approximately $80

  • 22 hydromorphone pills, valued at $220

  • $5,860 in Canadian currency

Following the arrests, detectives obtained a judicial search warrant for a residence in Niagara Falls. During the search, police seized additional drugs, a firearm, ammunition, and cash, including:

  • A handgun with a magazine containing 12 rounds of ammunition

  • 32.2 grams of suspected fentanyl, valued at $6,440

  • 46.1 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, valued at $6,915

  • 270 hydromorphone pills, valued at $1,350

  • $280 in Canadian currency

As a result of the investigation, 34-year-old Eric Flansberry of Niagara Falls has been charged with multiple offences, including six counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime both over and under $5,000, several firearm-related offences, possession of a prohibited device, and possession of a firearm contrary to a court order.

Twenty-eight-year-old Katelyn Guenther of Niagara Falls is charged with six counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime over and under $5,000, and multiple firearm-related offences, including possession of a prohibited firearm and careless storage of a firearm.

Fifty-three-year-old Denise Taylor of Niagara Falls is charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.
