Ontario Provincial Police say they’ve made 33 arrests and laid 136 charges in a provincewide child sexual exploitation initiative.
Back in February, 23 police services across the province partnered together to conduct coordinated online child exploitation investigations.
Our local NRPS are responsible for 5 of these arrests with 19 charges laid.
Through the investigation, 6 underage victims were identified, provided support, and are now safe.
All accused individuals are men ranging in age from 27 to 67.
Each accused predator travelled at great lengths to specific meeting locations to facilitate sexual offences against children.
36 investigations remain ongoing.
