Niagara Police announce major bust dubbed ‘Project Road King’

Police have taken down a major organized crime ring in an effort they called ‘Project Road King’.

Niagara Regional Police alongside the RCMP, Combined Forces Special Enforcement, and Criminal Intelligence Service of Ontario say 30 people have been arrested and 213 charges have been laid.

The investigation started back in August of 2024 as NRP officers looked into a drug trafficking operation.

That expanded into Hamilton, Brantford, Halton and other areas.

In all police searched 12 properties and seized 38 stolen vehicles, over 200-thousand dollars of cocaine, along with methamphetamine, MDMA, 20 guns, and over half a million dollars in cash.

Police say the investigation is on-going and they do expect further charges will be laid.

Justin Bartfai-Bell, 31-year-old female, from Thorold (1 charge)
