36-year-old St. Catharines man arrested after police find a gun and drugs

A 36-year-old St. Catharines man has been arrested in a drug bust.

The Niagara Regional Police Street Crime Unit started an investigation into the trafficking of illegal drugs in the city.

Today, a search warrant was granted for a home in the area of Welland Avenue and Geneva Street.

Jeremy Butterworth of St. Catharines was arrested and charged with weapon and drug charges.

Police say they found a loaded Glock 45 firearm, ammunition, drugs and $7000 in cash.
