Hamilton Police are appealing to the public for help identifying a driver who hit an 8-year-old girl in Stoney Creek.
It happened on the holiday Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the area of Barton Street and McNeilly Road.
An 8-year-old girl was riding her scooter on Barton Street when a maroon coloured pick-up truck towing a boat trailer struck her.
The girl suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are seeking to identify the driver of the pickup truck and are asking them to come forward and assist investigators.
Officers are also looking for witnesses and asking anyone with information, dashcam footage, or nearby surveillance recordings to come forward.
