A puppy that was left for dead in St. Catharines is improving.
The Humane Society of Greater Niagara found Jacob earlier this month in the parking lot of the George Nicholson Memorial Trail.
He was severely emaciated and showed signs of prolonged neglect.
Executive Director Cindy Dunne says Jacob did suffer a setback about a week ago when he needed veterinary care for bloating.
Dunne says Jacob’s care will take months for him to rebound.
She is thanking everyone that has reached out to inquire about Jacob and says they will be posting regular updates on social media.
