For the second time this week, a special weather statement has been issued in Niagara over strong winds.
Environment Canada says some wind gusts could reach up to 80 km/hr this afternoon and this evening.
“Southwesterly winds are expected to become northwesterly late this afternoon with the passage of a cold front. Winds will diminish later this evening into the overnight.”
Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects and cause tree branches to break. Power outages are possible.
