Carolyn Chandler-Hill Named Permanent Deputy Chief of Niagara EMS

Niagara Emergency Medical Services has appointed Carolyn Chandler-Hill as its permanent Deputy Chief and Associate Director of Emergency Medical Services, effective January 5, 2026.

The appointment follows what Niagara EMS describes as a comprehensive recruitment process. Chandler-Hill brings more than 17 years of experience in paramedicine to the role, including over seven years in operational leadership within Niagara EMS. For the past two years, she has served as Commander of Operations.

Niagara EMS Chief Karen Lutz-Graul praised the appointment, calling Chandler-Hill’s dedication to both the organization and its staff “unparalleled.”

“I am so pleased that Carolyn Chandler-Hill will be stepping into the Deputy Chief role,” Lutz-Graul said. “I look forward to working with her in this new position to serve the residents of Niagara.”

As Deputy Chief of Operations, Chandler-Hill will oversee the day-to-day operations of Niagara EMS, including land ambulance services and communications. Her responsibilities will focus on maintaining high standards of service delivery for residents and visitors across the region.
