The Niagara Catholic District School Board is looking for a new Director of Education.
Camillo Cipriano announcing that he is stepping down from the position on June 5.
Cipriano has held the role for the past six years and is moving on to take the position of Chief Executive Officer of the Toronto District School Board.
In a release, Chair of the Board Danny Di Lorenzo says, “While we are sad to lose a leader with such strong, faith-based management skills who has been committed to creating a culture focused on student success and staff development, it is not surprising that his immense talent would be recognized by across the province.”
He goes on to say, “We are proud of what has been accomplished under Mr. Cipriano’s leadership, most notably our improved math and literacy results and our growth by nearly 5,000 students.”
The Board of Trustees has named Associate Director of Education, Giancarlo Vetrone, as the Interim Director of Education.
