A hold and secure has been lifted from the Fort Erie Urgent Care Centre.

Niagara Health says early this morning there was a potential threat and Niagara Regional Police placed the facility in a hold and secure.

Niagara Health officials say the site will resume regular operation but there will be an increased security presence at the site out of an abundance of caution. “Early this morning, Niagara Health was made aware of a potential threat involving the Fort Erie Site. As a precaution, a hold and secure was initiated at the request of the Niagara Regional Police Service. At approximately 7:45 a.m. this morning, the hold and secure has been lifted. The Fort Erie Site will resume regular operations, and we’ve increased security presence at the site out of an abundance of caution. We want to thank our team for their professionalism and dedication to care, and to the Niagara Regional Police for their support. ”
