A new petition wants to end the talk of a new ferris wheel near the brink of the falls.
Niagara Falls NDP MPP Wayne Gates says 25-hundred people have already signed on to his petition.
It comes as Premier Doug Ford has repeatedly voiced his desire to have a ferris wheel built in Queen Victoria Park.
Gates says the idea just ridiculous as there is already a wheel on Clifton Hill.
The 175-foot Niagara Skywheel on Clifton Hill opened back in 2006 at a cost of 10-million dollars.
Niagara Parks has already issued a request for proposals as part of the government’s Destination Niagara tourism strategy.
