Hamilton man arrested after police say he tried to sell golf clubs from stolen car online

Niagara Police say a suspect who stolen a vehicle in Grimsby was caught after he posted items on Facebook Marketplace.

Police were called on Saturday to a home on Robinson Street North after a 2019 Toyota Rav4 had been stolen overnight.

Officers learned several personal items, including a set of stolen golf clubs, were stolen from the vehicle.

Then the following day, police say the suspect posted an ad for the golf clubs.

Police received a warrant to search a home on King Street East in Hamilton.

The suspect attempted to flee the home, jumping from a second storey balcony, however he was arrested a short time later.

29-year-old Bekim Dzemaiji of Hamilton is charged with Traffic in Property Obtained by Crime under $5000, and Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

Detectives also located and seized a Scion vehicle key within the home, and are looking for its owner.
