Hamilton Police look for suspect in Hess Street shooting

Two arrests have been made, and police continue to look for a suspect, after a targeted shooting at a home on Hess Street South.

It happened in the early morning hours of March 20th, 2026.

Officers located an adult suffering from serious, but non-life threatening injuries after being shot.

Investigators believe the incident was targeted, and the gun has been recovered.

44-year-old Nicol Jeffrey, and 30-year-old Alexander Echeverry of Hamilton are facing charges.

Police are looking for a third suspect, 38-year-old Joshua Teklenburg of Hamilton.

He is wanted on charges including Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Break and Enter, Extortion while Using a Firearm and Forcible Confinement.

Investigators are urging Teklenburg to seek legal counsel and surrender himself at the nearest police station.

Anyone who sees Joshua Teklenburg is asked not to approach him and to call 911 immediately.
