Hamilton Police look to ID woman and man approaching girls near Marion Street
06/22/2026 at 01:23 PMHamilton Police are asking for the public’s help after two incidents last week of young girls being approached by a vehicle.
The first incident was reported on Thursday, June 18th, 2026, at approximately 9:45 a.m., when a black SUV stopped a female youth in the area of Spitfire Drive and Marion Street.
The vehicle was being driven by a woman, with a man seated in the front passenger seat.
The driver asked if the girl was interested in dating the man in the car. The girl left the area.
The next morning, at 9:10 a.m., a white SUV was seen in the area of Marion Street and Longview Court.
Again, the vehicle was driven by a female, with a male seated in the front passenger seat.
The driver tried to talk to young girls in the area.
Police say although the vehicles involved were different colours, the female driver and male passenger are believed to have similar descriptions in both incidents.
The driver is described as being of East Indian descent, with brown skin, 47 to 60 years old, with long black hair in a low ponytail, hair unkempt at the front, brown eyes, wearing clear glasses with a thin face.
The passenger is described as being of East Indian descent, with brown skin, 32 to 47 years old, with a large build, a full head of thick, black curly hair, and a large black curly beard.
Hamilton Police are asking residents and motorists in the area to review any dash camera, residential surveillance or other video footage from the area around the time of these incidents.
Anyone with information that could assist investigators is asked to contact the on-duty Division 30 Staff Sergeant at 905-546-3886.
