Hamilton Police have opened a new downtown substation in Jackson Square.
The location will support the CORE Patrol which focuses on downtown safety initiatives.
Police Chief Frank Bergen says the substation will help keep downtown safe and welcoming.
The location will be open Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
The City of Hamilton is leasing the space for $1 per year over the next two years from Jackson Square.
