The 86-year-old has always had a passion of telling stories to people and to this day people still ask him to talk about all the daredevils that have taken on the falls.
Zavitz spent 25 years as the official historian for Niagara Falls and Niagara Parks.
the Sovereign’s medal is the country’s highest honour for volunteer service.
