The Niagara Community Foundation has reached a major milestone.
The foundation crossing the $100 million mark in total assets.
Executive Director Bryan Rose says the NCF pools donations into an income earning endowment fund and then the returns are reinvested into the community through grants.
This year Rose expects that the foundation will hand out more than $5-million.
Founded in 2000 the Niagara Community Foundation has granted more than $36-million to local charities.
