Hamilton Police have arrested a man in connection with the theft of dozens of bronze flower vases from a local cemetery.
Police say between April 17th and April 19th, 2026, visitors to White Chapel Memorial Garden Cemetery located on Main Street West discovered that numerous bronze vases placed at grave sites had been removed.
Following reports to police, investigators determined that approximately forty vases had been stolen.
51-year-old Jason McIntosh from Hamilton has been arrested and charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000, Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000,
Possession of Proceeds of Crime, and Operation While Prohibited.
Hamilton Police have since recovered a number of the stolen items and look forward to returning them to the affected families.
