A number of charges have been laid against the suspect in a manhunt yesterday in Port Colborne that had local residents staying inside and locking their doors.

27-year-old Brady Neff is charged with second degree murder in the death of 42-year-old Mark Pero, both of Port Colborne.

Pero’s body was found inside a home yesterday morning, sparking an hours long manhunt for the suspect, which ended at 3 o’clock in the afternoon when officers made an arrest.

Police say Neff is also facing charges in relation to several incidents that occurred prior to murder.

Neff is charged with Domestic Assault, Uttering Threats, Choking, Point Firearm, and Possession of a Firearm.

The weapon believed to have been used has been recovered by police.

Police say Neff and Pero were known to each other and the incident was targeted.
