Niagara will have a new EMS Chief next week.
Karen Lutz-Graul has been appointed as the permanent Director of Emergency Services and EMS Chief effective September 29th, 2025.
Lutz-Graul has been serving as Acting Chief at Niagara EMS for the past two months.
Prior to that, she held the role of Deputy Chief of EMS Operations since 2020.
Lutz-Graul has been with Niagara EMS since 1991, starting out with the Niagara-on-the-Lake Ambulance Service as a Paramedic.
