The Niagara Children’s Centre has officially kicked off its 2026 Help Kids Shine campaign.

The annual event is a fundraising and awareness campaign aimed at providing crucial support to children and their families with developmental and/or communicative delays.

This morning’s launch event saw political dignitaries, campaign sponsors, community supporters, board members, staff, and volunteers from the organization.

This year, three-year-old Sophie is taking centre stage as a campaign Ambassador.

Born prematurely, Sophie spent 11 months in the NICU, and was later referred to Niagara Children’s Centre.

Noella Klawitter, CEO of Niagara Children’s Centre, highlighted the campaign’s significance.

“We are incredibly grateful to our campaign sponsors whose continued support helps bring Help Kids Shine to life each year,” said Klawitter. “In particular, our longtime presenting sponsors, 610 CKTB, 97.7 HTZ FM, and Dream 105.7, for amplifying our mission and giving our families a voice in Niagara.”

This year’s campaign goal is $350,000.

All month long, 610 CKTB will bring you stories from staff and families that rely on the Children’s Centre.
