Niagara drivers were mostly well behaved on St. Patrick’s Day.
Niagara Regional Police running RIDE spot checks in Thorold, St. Catharines, and Niagara Falls last night.
In total 300 vehicles were stopped, 30 drivers were asked to provide a breath sample, and all of those drivers passed.
Police did hand out 22 other tickets for various offences including one driver that was driving while under suspension and two others that did not have valid insurance.
NRP say they are committed to reducing impaired driving offences as impaired driving remains the leading criminal offence causing death in Canada.
