Residents and visitors heading to City Hall in Niagara Falls will notice a new sign-in and screening procedure starting Wednesday, April 8, 2026.

The City announced the changes as part of an effort to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for everyone entering the municipal building.

The updated process will apply during regular operating hours at Niagara Falls City Hall, which are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Under the new system, all visitors must enter through the main entrance on Queen Street. Once inside, guests will be directed to the Customer Service counters on the first floor, where the screening process will take place.

Visitors will be required to sign in at the Customer Service desk and will receive visitor credentials that must be worn visibly throughout their time inside the building.

City staff will then notify the appropriate department when a visitor arrives. A staff member from that department will meet the visitor and escort them during their time inside City Hall.

City officials say the new process is designed to improve security while also keeping the visitor experience straightforward and organized. Signage will be installed throughout the building, and staff will be available to help guide visitors through the new procedure.
