A Niagara MP says all eyes will be on a St. Catharines court as we wait for a sentencing decision.
Earlier this week 26-year-old Daniel Senecal pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a toddler in Welland.
The federal government recently passed Bill C-14 which makes changes to the criminal code and toughens sentencing laws for repeat and violent offenders.
Senecal plead guilty to six charges, and we expect a sentencing date will be set later this month.
