There is a new deal to move the remaining beluga whales at Marineland.

The Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada endorsing a plan that would see all remaining whales split up and sent to Spain or one of four U.S. facilities.

The whales still need medical exams to make sure they are healthy enough to travel.

The import and export permits also need to be signed off on by the governments.

Thirty belugas remain at the now closed Niagara Falls theme park.
