Niagara Regional Police continue to investigate a murder in St. Catharines.
It was back on Friday, May 15, when officers were called to a home in the area of Lakeshore Road and Lake Street in St. Catharines.
The initial report was for two people without vital signs.
Officers arrived and found one person dead inside the home.
They have now identified the victim as 23-year-old Vidhi Kalpeshkumar Megha.
Detectives have notified the family and say that this was an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to public safety.
40-year-old Joshua St Omer has been charged with second degree murder.
