Pride flags to be raised across Niagara tomorrow to mark first day of Pride Month

Monday June 1st is the first day of Pride Month.

To mark the month-long recognition of the 2SLGBTQ+ community, pride flag raisings will be held across the region on Monday.

The following municipalities will be participating in flag raisings at their Town/City Halls:

  • Town of Grimsby – 9:15 AM
  • City of Port Colborne -10:00 AM
  • City of Welland – 10:30 AM
  • Township of West Lincoln (Community Centre) – 11:30 AM
  • Town of Pelham – 12:15 PM
  • Town of Lincoln – 1:00 PM
  • City of St. Catharines – 1:30 PM

There will also be a flag raising held at the Pen Centre in St. Catharines at 2:00 PM.

The final flag raising of the day will take place at 3:30 PM at Niagara Region Headquarters on Sir Isaac Brock Way with a community celebration to follow.
