Second arrest in case of woman trafficked in Niagara including forced marriage charge

Niagara Police have made a second arrest after an investigation into a woman being trafficked in Niagara.
Earlier today, officers arrested a suspect in the area of Queenston Street and Niagara Street in St Catharines.
29-year-old Joshua Shirley of St. Catharines is charged with Trafficking in Persons, Procuring, Utter Threats, and Forced Marriage.
Earlier this week, 26-year-old Anshul (that is his full name) from London, Ontario man was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Persons.
Detectives believe that there may be other victims and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
It is believed that Anshul lived in Brampton until recently.

They can be coerced through violence or the threat of violence against family and friends.
