The City of St. Catharines will work at removing snow from the downtown core overnight.
Tonight, crews will start their efforts about 11 p.m., focusing on removing snow that has built up following two significant snowfalls.
Vehicles that remain parked along these streets will be relocated to Market Square.
The City reminds residents and visitors of the year-round overnight parking restriction in effect daily from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. in the downtown core’s metered zones.
“We appreciate the community’s support as we work to keep our downtown safe and accessible during winter weather, said Chris Anders, the City’s manager of linear infrastructure operations. With the significant snowfall over the last several weeks, this is an important effort to support both the businesses and the community at large. City crews remain mindful of special events happening over the coming days and are working to try and minimize any disruptions while patrons are downtown.”
