St. Catharines City Council is going to spend more money to increase security at Lakeside Park.
Councillors approving a plan to spend $40,000 to hire a security patrol at the Port Dalhousie beach.
The patrol will be added on weekends and holidays until the end of September.
Security cameras will also be operational at both Lakeside Park and Sunset Beach later this month.
