The MPP for St. Catharines wants General Motors to pay up.
Jennie Stevens calling on the province to force GM to pay for any needed cleanup at the former Ontario Street plant.
Stevens says the province can make that happen.
Environment Minister Todd McCarthy says they will continue to monitor the site and take action if laws are violated.
The city last week issuing a Property Standards Order calling repairs or the demolition buildings on the site.
The owners have been given until June 12th to make the repairs, or they could appeal the orders.
