The City of St. Catharines has issued a major order to the owners of the former GM property on Ontario Street.
Officials say they received a number of complaints last week and following an inspection they have issued an order to make repairs or demolish buildings on the site.
The ‘Property Standards Order’ from the city cites a number of issues including collapsed ceiling systems, deteriorating structural supports, debris and rubble throughout the property and more.
The owners have been given until June 12th to make the repairs at the site, or they could appeal the orders.
