Sunset Beach is preparing for a grand re-opening this May.
The renovation project – a $6.9-million investment – is on track to open ahead of the peak summer season.
While some of the work won’t be finished until later this summer, guests can expect lots of new changes.
New renos include parking lot enhancements, upgrades to trails and picnic tables, and shoreline protection measures.
Replacement of the playground structure and finishing touches to the boat ramp will continue beyond the re-opening.
St. Catharines residents can also purchase Beach Parking permits online for $16.25 for the season.
Parking permits allow residents to park at Sunset Beach and Lakeside park without time limits between May 1st and September 30th.
