Port Colborne has unveiled details on this year’s Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival.

The event, which has been running for 48 years, will run from Friday, July 31 to Monday, August 3.

This year’s mainstage will be located at H.H. Knoll Lakeview Park on Friday and Saturday nights.

Toronto rockers Bleeker, Canadian singer-songwriter JJ Wilde, and Canadian rock band Big Wreck are set to take the stage on Friday.

On Saturday, Niagara’s own Street Pharmacy, Canadian reggae-rock band Bedouin Soundclash, and the indie-folk favourites The Strumbellas will be playing.

Canal Days concerts are free to attend, but capacity is limited. Admission is available on a first-come, first-served basis and entry cannot be guaranteed once the venue reaches capacity.

“Canal Days is more than a festival, it’s a reflection of who we are as a community. As we prepare to welcome tens of thousands of visitors for the 48th Annual Canal Days Marine Heritage Festival, presented by GIO Rail, we are proud to showcase exceptional Canadian musical talent, our rich marine heritage, and four days of activities that offer something for every age and every interest”, said Port Colborne Mayor William Steele.

The festival also features family-friendly attractions, interactive experiences, marine heritage
activities, and entertainment throughout the Civic Holiday weekend.

Canal Days welcomes approximately 60,000 to 70,000 visitors to the city for the festival.
