Someone in Niagara Falls has been channelling their inner Grinch.
The lawn of the late Fred Girado’s home on Dorchester Road has long been a vibrant display of holiday cheer.
The former high school teacher in Niagara Falls always put together a massive display for the holiday season.
Those displays won the 2021 and 2022 Sparkle Award as part of the city’s holiday display competition.
Since his death in early 2022 a group of 40 friends and family have been keeping the tradition alive by stacking the lawn with decorations.
Last Thursday thieves stole some of the inflatables from the lawn.
Mayor Jim Diodati and the family are hoping that the decorations will be returned or that someone with information might contact the police or Crimestoppers.
