Niagara Regional Police have arrested a man suspected of trafficking illegal drugs.
37-year-old Matt Gendron of Thorold was arrested this week after officers searched a home at a Lundy’s Lane address.
Gendron was charged with Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Distributing, Possessions of Proceeds of Property obtained by Crime over $5000, Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking for cocaine and opioid oxycodone, Possess Schedule I Substance for Trafficking, Possession of a Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
During the search, police found four kilograms of suspected cocaine, 751.9 grams of suspected MDMA, 470 tablets of suspected oxycontin, 4.6 kilograms of suspected psilocybin, 61 kilograms of suspected dry cannabis, 6.3 kilograms of suspected hard/brick hashish, 121 1 gram vape pens, 26 grams of suspected shatter, 314 grams of suspected cannabis oil, one kilogram of suspected cannabis distillate and $5533.
Gendron was released from police custody with a court date set at Robert S.K. Welch Courthouse in St. Catharines.
