Thorold man charged following shooting in Grimsby

A Thorold man has been charged following a shooting in Grimsby last week.

On Thursday police were called to the Niagara Gateway Information Centre in Grimsby.

A man was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening gun shot wounds.

Niagara regional Police say they have now arrested 33-year-old Ferdinando Pio.

He has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Discharge Firearm with Intent.

Pio is in custody and has a court appearance on Friday.
