Two Welland residents arrested in drug bust

Two arrests have been made after Niagara Police say they witnessed a drug deal in Fort Erie.

Police say that sparked an investigation which led officers to arrest a suspect in Welland, and identify a second suspect.

Officers searched a home in Welland and found 44 grams of suspected cocaine, 35 grams of suspected fentanyl, 38 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, and 34 hydromorphone tablets.

48-year-old Laura Pearson of Fort Erie is charged with Possession of Proceeds of Property obtained by Crime over $5000, and six counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.

53-year-old Rosario Morin of Fort Erie is charged with Possession of Proceeds of Property obtained by Crime under $5000, and three counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
