Niagara Police have arrested a Welland man on homicide charges.
On Thursday May 7th around 1:55pm, police were called to a neighbourhood near Prince Charles Drive and Thorold Road in Welland.
Officers on scene discovered a deceased woman inside a residence.
Police took a man inside the residence into custody, and the investigation was taken over by the homicide unit.
As a result, 36-year-old Christopher Bobko of Welland has been arrested and charged with first degree murder.
Detectives believe that this was an isolated incident and there is no risk to public safety.
