West Lincoln is trying out lower speed limits on a couple roadways.
As part of the Road Safety Action Plan there is a pilot project running on South Chippawa Road and Canborough Street.
The speed limit has dropped from 80 km/h to 60 km/h along South Chippawa Road between Caistorville and Smithville roads until this Friday.
It has been lowered to 40 km/h on the curved sections of South Chippawa Road.
The speed limit has been dropped to 40 km/h on Canborough Street between Townline Road. and Twenty Mile Creek.
Those changes will stay in place until next Friday.
Officials will collect data from the pilot project and report back to council in the fall.
